Fresh at the beginning of a global pandemic, Sam& Lindsay found themselves faced with an incredibly difficult set of decisions about what to do as they eagerly approached the day to celebrate their marriage. After bouncing things around, they decided to rent a century old cottage along Lake Michigan (greatest of ALL the lakes) very near to where they met and, after some careful precautions, invite their immediate families and a handful of their closest friends to celebrate.
It was a stunningly perfect Michigan spring day - with some warmth from the sunshine during the day and crisp, cooler air rolling in as the sun set over dinner. Their parents prepped and grilled dinner and they popped champagne and danced on the back deck. They even got a surprise caravan of loved ones who rolled by parade style in their cars to wish them a hearty congratulations.
At the end of the day, S&L expressed that it couldn’t have been more perfect - pandemic pivots and all. They got to celebrate with a much larger group on their first anniversary, which was definitely the party dreams are made of, but this day will forever live in an extra place in our hearts.
